FAQ

With the release of V3, DataJaguar can interface with ANY batch system.

DataJaguar does not just analyze existing batch system data, it also creates new context and collects new information in real-time from operators. This allows you to spend more time improving rather than collecting/contextualizing/displaying data.

DataJaguar is not a general analytical platform, it was built specifically for Batch Asset optimization.

Benefits include:

  • Built-in views: No effort is required from the user to create views.
  • Experience with batch manufacturers: We work with operations teams to make sure we have all the views necessary for immediate insights.
  • Minimal time manipulating data: You can spend time on improvements rather than cleansing and displaying data.
Having the built-in context, as well as the views specifically designed for optimizing batch operations, customers install and immediately begin seeing improvements. Don’t waste time being an Excel/Power BI guru.

Yes. We have developed “BatchAlyzer”. This new connector turns fixed sequence controllers into batch context to enable the same batch-level insights to your fixed sequenced systems.

This is currently in development. This new connector will provide context for activities like startup, shutdown, stages/modes of operation within continuous processes, grade changes, and other recipe changes while the continuous process remains running. Interested? Join the development process. Reach out to us to ensure that your site’s requirements are incorporated in the connector.
We’ve learned from our experience with manufacturers that we need to collect the information, in real-time, from the same HMI used to control the plant. If not, we won’t get accurate data from the people who know what happened. Other methods wind up collecting high-level guesswork, which is not helpful in improving operations.

YES! Operators report site after site how much easier the system is to work with, instead of using comments on manual batch sheets. They also enjoy the real-time views of DataJaguar. We have found benefits even with the most experienced operators. They can look at multiple reactors at a glance and know where to focus their attention.

  • Operators: for real-time views and recording abnormal events
  • Operations engineers/supervisors: to know what the current progress is and find ways to improve
  • Maintenance: to know when units will become available to perform maintenance, know which process units have process fouling or other abnormal performance profiles
  • Shipping: to know when batches will be ready to pack out/load into totes/railcars/ trucks
  • Lab: to know when samples are heading their way and to better schedule lab samples
And the list goes on and on….. DataJaguar is not licensed by user, so many people at a plant find a use for it.
